With the help of a kinesiologist, you can work together to improve your function and mental health through regular, customized physical activity to get you back to excelling at and enjoying life again. ICBC now automatically approves 12 sessions in the first 12 weeks following a crash. After 12 weeks kinesiology sessions can continue with medical approval

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is the study of human movement, therefore a kinesiogist is an expert in all things related to human movement including exercise, injury recovery and prevention, nutrition, and mental wellness. Using their knowledge, kinesiologists assess a person's overall health in addition to their physical condition in order to make a customized plan for each client. While there are often goals identified around treatment of injury, pain or imbalance, kinesiologists are also personal trainers and work with people who are looking for results such as weight loss, balancing nutrition, improving flexibility, fitness and strength and going over strategies to improve stress management or mental health challenges.
